A client within the Public Sector based in County Durham is currently recruiting for a Construction Manager to join their Building Services team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a construction project delivery environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to oversee a variety of construction projects across the county ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to budget.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Managing new build housing schemes and refurbishment projects
Coordinating multiple sites across the borough
Overseeing site operations, resources, health & safety, and performance
Ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and ISO standards
Programme planning, financial tracking, and reporting to senior managementThe Candidate To be considered for this role you will require:
A recognised qualification in Building/Construction or Management
NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety
SMSTS certificationThe below skills would be beneficial for the role:
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Proven experience in construction project delivery
Excellent understanding of health & safety and relevant regulationsThe client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £30 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £25 per hour PAYE).
