Role Overview
We are evolving a modern, enterprise-grade integration landscape that enables our business systems to connect, scale, and adapt in a cloud-first environment. As Integration Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering secure, scalable integrations across a diverse enterprise landscape. This role is based in our Trowbridge Head office, with remote working available for up to 2 days per week.
Responsibilities
* Design, build, manage and support APIs and integrations that enable seamless connectivity across enterprise systems
* Contribute to the development and evolution of the integration platform, including API and event‑driven architectures
* Define and apply best practices for integration design, security, and governance
* Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and reusable solutions
* Improve the reliability, performance, and scalability of integration services across the platform
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration challenges across API and cloud environments
* Create reusable integration components and patterns to accelerate future delivery
* Stay informed on emerging technologies and proactively recommend improvements
Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong experience in API Management (Apigee or similar platforms)
* Experience working with cloud‑based integration solutions (Azure, AWS, or equivalent)
* Solid understanding of Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Function Apps, Event Hubs, Service Bus)
* Understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, XML and integration design patterns
* Knowledge of API security (OAuth, JWT, rate limiting)
* Strong problem‑solving and communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams
* Experience with Apigee API Management
* Strong expertise in implementing end‑to‑end monitoring using tools such as Application Insights, Log Analytics and proactive alerting for integration flows
Desirable Skills
* Knowledge of event‑driven architecture and microservices
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated deployments
* Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Application Insights, New Relic)
* Exposure to other integration platforms (e.g. SAP BTP Integration Suite)
* Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Developer Associate, Azure Integration Services, Azure Solutions Architect, or DevOps Engineer Expert
Location
The role is based in our Trowbridge Head office. Remote working available for up to 2 days per week. Candidates must live or be willing to relocate within a reasonable commuting distance.
