One of our flagship contracts is with the Ministry of Defence at a major base near Watford – a complex, high-profile environment where we provide a full range of hard, soft, and technical FM services. We’re now seeking a dynamic, experienced Quantity Surveyor to be based onsite (full time) at Northwood Headquarters.
You Will :
1. The successful SQS will be responsible for the commercial and financial delivery of new works, lifecycle and business as usual activities. This will involve working closely with the commercial manager to secure an excellent financial performance as per the business plan and current forecast.
2. The successful SQS will report to the business and be responsible for the financial portfolio ensuring targets and milestone are met.
3. The SQS will oversee the measuring of works completed and agree payment applications.
4. The successful candidate will be provided with training and development opportunities to hone the skills required for eventual promotion within the team.
5. Monitor progress of applications and any disputes.
Skills /Experience Required :
6. Proven experience in a QS /SQS role
7. Experience of drafting contractual correspondence on behalf of the Project Director and preparation of payment certificates and interim financial reports
8. ability to collate information and prepare reports
9. Advanced Excel
10. Experience of setting up and/or operating office management systems including filing systems and document control and distribution
11. Able to obtain and maintain DV security clearance
12. Able to work full time on site - HA6
This role requires a minimum level of security clearance and may also require a higher level of National Security Vetting. You should be aware that certain levels of clearance or specific projects and/or sites have UK residency requirements; and any dual or multiple nationalities must be declared. Any persons who do not fulfil these residency requirements may be unable to obtain the required level of clearance and would not be eligible to undertake this role.
