Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.
A licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with experience in pediatric therapy and bilingual services is sought to support students in an elementary school setting in Salem, OR. This contract position offers an opportunity to provide essential speech and language services within an educational environment for the upcoming school year.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver direct speech-language therapy to elementary students following individual education plans (IEPs).
* Conduct teletherapy sessions as needed, ensuring continuity of care and effective communication.
* Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement appropriate therapy goals.
* Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions, student progress, and assist in IEP meetings.
* Provide supervision if applicable, and engage in continuing professional development.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
* Experience working with pediatric populations in healthcare and educational settings.
* Proficiency in teletherapy platforms and remote instruction.
* Eligible for or currently completing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is acceptable.
* Experience working in school-based environments with knowledge of educational therapy models is preferred.
* Bilingual proficiency is highly desirable to meet district needs.
* Ability to work itinerantly across multiple school sites as required.
Work Details:
* Full-time, 40 hours per week.
* Contract duration aligns with the normal school year (NSY).
* Position involves itinerant service delivery with paid travel between schools.
* The district utilizes a caseload model with defined caps.
* Administrative time and team meetings are incorporated into the schedule.
* Training on the district's IEP system will be provided.
