Plumbingforce has a full‑time vacancy for a Domestic Gas Engineer / Plumber covering Peterborough and surrounding area for plumbing and gas heating services.
Responsibilities
* Deliver emergency call‑out service for commercial and domestic gas heating appliances.
* Perform gas boiler breakdowns, fault finding, servicing, repairs and general maintenance.
* Conduct landlord gas safety checks and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Respond to emergency water and gas leaks, providing prompt and effective solutions.
* Address general gas heating and plumbing issues, focusing on repairs and maintenance.
* Deliver excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction with quality workmanship.
* Ensure all work meets manufacturer instructions and current regulations, handling unsafe situations in accordance with AR/ID procedures.
* Occasionally perform installation work (approx 5% of tasks).
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years experience in domestic boiler breakdowns and fault finding.
* Valid gas qualifications such as ACS, CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, etc.
* Own public liability insurance.
* Own hand tools, drills, and a calibrated analyser.
* Valid UK driving licence.
* Own work‑purpose phone.
* Can‑do attitude, commitment to honesty and integrity.
* Strong understanding of unsafe situations procedures and ability to follow AR/ID protocols.
