Pay rate: £14.36ph
Mitie Security is looking for Security Officer to work in the Swanwick/Whitley area. The role is permanent with 12-hour shifts including days, nights and weekends (guaranteed 48 hours per week).
Additional clearance required: SIA minimum; strong communication skills and good physical fitness for long patrols. Candidate must drive and have access to own vehicle.

What we are looking for
* Previous Security Experience
* SIA License
* SC Clearance desirable
Main Duties
* Operations – Be aware of and ensure compliance with all policies and legal/regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK Law and Guidance bodies.
* Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).
* Proactively review published Assignment Instructions and suggest amendments to improve or enhance service.
* Comply with industry and statutory legislation (front-line licence in Security Guarding or Door Supervision; CCTV PSS SIA Licence). There are additional contractually required courses.
* Comply with safety requirements and follow instructions without unnecessary challenges to authority.
* Work in a systematic, methodical and orderly way.
Training
* Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.
* Undertake additional training for self-development as directed by the Security Account Manager.
* Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop knowledge through continual professional development.
* Renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Security and Health & Safety
* Look out for and report any Health & Safety hazards on site.
* Stay alert to threats or changes in the work environment to reduce disruption, loss or damage.
* Maintain professional conduct in difficult situations and with challenging customers.
* Complete an accurate notebook entry after any incident for the Incident Report process.
* Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
* Ensure check calls are carried out at the allocated time slot per the AI's.
* Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
