Location: Plymouth, Devonport Royal Dockyard – remote working available with occasional travel to the office required.

Overview
Are you ready to join our collaborative team working on an exciting redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site in Plymouth? As a Quantity Surveyor with KierBAM, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the commercial success of this significant project while working alongside supportive professionals in a positive environment.
Responsibilities
* Managing commercial performance including financial forecasting, maximising cash flow, and ensuring payments are processed efficiently.
* Preparing monthly cost reports and thoughtfully analysing trends with the wider contract team.
* Building positive relationships with subcontractors, including procurement, negotiation, and account management.
* Implementing contract change control procedures and communicating effectively with clients.
* Identifying and mitigating commercial risks while ensuring compliance with Kier Group's risk management policies.
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (HNC, BSc, MSc). Professional accreditation (RICS, ICE) is advantageous.
* Experience with NEC contracts and comfortable using systems such as CEMAR, Coins, or Causeway.
* Collaborative team player who enjoys nurturing relationships within diverse teams.
* Excellent organisational skills and talent for clear communication, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel, and ability to manage data with precision.

Security & Clearance
Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required – this process can take up to 8 weeks. You will also need a Government Security Check (SC) Clearance before employment, conducted by the Cabinet Office’s United Kingdom Security Vetting agency. Applications with convictions will be considered on a case‑by‑case basis. This role will be subject to further pre‑employment checks.
