My client is a leading UK-based flavour ingredients business with over 35 years of heritage, specialising in creating innovative liquid and powder flavourings for the Health & Wellbeing market — including sports nutrition, beverages, baked goods, dairy, ice cream, and confectionery. As part of a wider European group, they combine the agility of a local partner with the resources and scale of an international business. With a strong emphasis on natural, clean-label solutions, sustainability, and innovation, they work closely with clients to bring market-ready concepts to life. The Role This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven Account Manager to take ownership of a high-growth channel in the sports nutrition sector, both in the UK and across Europe. Reporting to the Head of Sales, the role will focus on developing existing customer relationships while actively targeting and converting new business. You will work cross-functionally with marketing, NPD, operations, and technical teams to bring customer insights and innovation to market — building strategic partnerships and delivering profitable growth. This position can be home based with some travel to the company site in the W Midlandsand occasion travel within Europe. Key Responsibilities * Manage and grow a portfolio of accounts within the sports nutrition category, promoting my clients range of flavours. * Identify and convert new business opportunities in line with commercial strategy. * Develop strong multi-level relationships with customers, built on insight and trust. * Drive profitability through product mix analysis, value engineering, and NPD collaboration. * Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting aligned with business goals. * Build internal relationships across departments to ensure seamless project delivery. Requirements * 3 years of Account Management experience working within the flavour or food ingredients sector, where sports nutrition has been a key category, or you may be working for a Sports Nutrition manufacturer and have a strong technical understanding of the products. * Experience within Health & Wellbeing or Sports Nutrition is highly desirable. * Strong commercial and financial acumen. * Proven ability to win and grow profitable business. * Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, collaborative approach. * Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. * Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook. * Full right to work in the UK.
