National Grid invites applications for the 2026 Customer and Stakeholder Coordinator Advanced Apprentice position within the Customer Network Development (CND) team in Warwick.
About The Role
As a Customer & Stakeholder Engagement Advanced Apprentice at National Grid you’ll be part of our Customer Network Development (CND) team, playing a key role in connecting homes, businesses, and communities to the energy network. Within this role you will contribute to National Grid’s mission to enable the energy transition and support a more sustainable future. The Connections and Development (CND) team is actively redesigning how customers are connected to energy, focusing on reducing lead times and improving customer satisfaction. The team is committed to building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and industry partners. As an Apprentice, you’ll play a key role in driving this innovation and helping shape the future of energy connections.
Responsibilities
* Provide support to enhance customer and stakeholder engagement by managing complaints, maintaining customer data, and contributing to performance reporting.
* Assist in key projects and initiatives, including the Quality of Connections customer satisfaction incentive and stakeholder engagement plans.
* Facilitate customer journey workshops and help design processes that improve overall experience and satisfaction.
* Ensure compliance with business management systems and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
* Provide flexible team support, helping coordinate activities that align with the wider strategy to enhance customer and stakeholder interactions.
Location
This role is based in the Warwick office and may offer flexible and hybrid working throughout the programme. You will be required to attend training at our Training Centre in Eakring, Newark. This could involve multiple and frequent nights away from home. Stakeholder and site‑based meetings are likely to occur in this role and may involve travelling to locations that are not your office base. While a driving licence is not required, you will need to meet travel requirements to Eakring, etc. as required for training, which can be via public transport if you do not drive.
About You
We are looking for someone who will have achieved at least five GCSEs with grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), including English language and Maths or equivalent. Prior work experience is not required; determination and the will to succeed are far more important as we will teach you everything you need to know. The role will provide you with a variety of skills including transferable skills to support your career development within National Grid.
