My client, a well regarded Barristers Chambers, who are seeking an experienced HR & Graduate Executive to join the organisation on an interim basis.
This is a broad and varied role, offering support across the Chambers Pupillage programmes, EDI initiatives and general HR support. Working closely with the Head of HR, CEO and other Seniors within the Chambers.
Some of the duties will include:
* Work effectively organising people systems, recruitment processes - assisted by the Administrator
* Responsible for organising recruitment processes including onboarding and integration for barristers/FTTs, Staff and Pupils, forms preparation and management, interview administration, creating panels, collating and distributing interview packs and arranging resources and facilities for meetings and liaising with recruitment agencies to confirm arrangements.
* Acting as the main contact for recruitment queries, managing recruitment correspondence, working with hiring managers to post recruitment advertisements for the DSC website (and others, as appropriate) and social media.
* Organising inductions and onboarding for new joiners
* Organising offboarding for members and staff including diarising exit interviews.
* Managing the upkeep of the Staff HR System - ensuring all details logged and accurate, including holiday allocation and monitoring of employee absences.
* Management of staff appraisal process.
* Assisting organising appropriate staff and/or member learning and development opportunities related to EDWI and pupillage, inc internal pupillage training.
* Project manage and organise the pupillage outreach and recruitment process from start to finish each year (inc data maintenance, guaranteed interview applications).
* Execute pupillage initiatives authorised by the Pupillage Committee or Pupillage Committee Chairs.
* Organise and administer the pupil training process, including pupil supervisor selection, training, briefings and check ins.
* Organising the pupil to tenancy application process.
* Keep in contact with future pupils prior to start date.
* Preparing regular pupillage updates for the Pupillage Committee Chairs and others
The ideal candidate will have previous HR from either a Chambers, Law Firm, Charity or wider professional services background. Previous Pupillage/graduate and EDI experience is also useful for this role.The suitable individual will also need to be able to manage conflicting deadlines, have exceptional communication skills and be able to support at all levels.
