This pivotal role supports the Principal and School Leadership in ensuring the ongoing financial sustainability of our school.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all aspects of school financial processing, administration, and compliance.
* Prepare monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations, financial reports, and Business Activity Statements.
* Maintain the school’s fixed asset register, budget, and five-year financial forecast.
* Administer accounts receivable, including school fee billing, concessions, and debt management.
* Oversee accounts payable, procurement, and supplier payments.
* Support payroll processing, contract renewals, and staff registration compliance.
* Assist with financial aspects of capital projects, insurance renewals, and audits.
* Provide informed and friendly customer service to the school community.
About You
* Demonstrated experience in financial management, preferably in a school or not-for-profit environment.
* Strong understanding of accounting processes, payroll, and budget management.
* Excellent organisational, time management, and problem‑solving skills.
* High attention to detail with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
* Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to collaborative teamwork.
* Proficiency in relevant software systems (e.g. accounting, payroll, Microsoft Office).
* Commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and a child‑safe environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School (or willingness to obtain).
* Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance, or business administration (desirable).
* Current Working with Children Check and relevant clearances.
