Main duties of the job
These duties are not exhaustive.
* Accepting and triaging all new referrals received by the team.
* Communicating and liaising effectively with relevant referring partners and other agencies.
* Arranging and carrying out initial assessments.
* Offering support to the wider team with visits where specialist knowledge is required.
* Being part of the Senior Leadership Team and encouraging evidence‑based changes and processes across the service.
* Supporting staff with advice for duty calls during working hours and putting in place appropriate actions to address identified risks.
* Ensuring that any identified immediate risks are appropriately responded to and a proportionate risk management strategy is actioned, with input from the multidisciplinary team.
* Keeping up to date with relevant perinatal research and news to share with the wider team.
* Offering caseload supervision to case managers.
Qualifications
* RMN / RNLD or equivalent professional registration/qualification.
* Degree level qualification or equivalent.
* Study experience at masters level or clinical experience at that level.
* ENB 998.
* Non‑Medical Independent Prescriber.
Experience
* Extensive experience at a level that has required supervision and mentorship of others.
* Extensive experience of practice within a clinical area with a proven track record of delivering high quality care.
* Experience of leadership and management in specialist mental health or learning disabilities.
* Teaching or training experience or qualification.
* Experience of facilitation in groups.
* Experience of implementing evidence‑based practice and/or service improvement initiative.
Skills
* Ability to communicate widely in a clear manner.
* Ability to problem solve.
* Confident manner.
* Approachable, tactful and diplomatic.
* Ability to self‑manage time and meet agreed deadlines.
Knowledge
* Sound clinical expertise and knowledge of mental health disorders and their treatments.
Other
* Ability to travel to all Trust locations if required.
