Project Engineer
My client is a Norwich based engineering company which specialises in the design, manufacture, supply and support of rotating electrical machines and associated equipment.
They have a requirement for a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will have previous experience in handling technical customer accounts in a manufacturing or engineering business. The individual should be self-motivated, flexible and have some mechanical engineering and logistics knowledge.
The successful applicant will be working as part of a small team and would be required to undertake the following tasks -
* Manage current projects and deliver on time, in budget.
* Coordinating service engineers
* Assist in the development of new business in the UK and overseas
* Liaise with the PPI Engineering team across departments in the UK and the commercial office in China
* Liaising, negotiating and building relationships with suppliers and Customers worldwide
* Provide technical, commercial and logistics support as required
* Some Clerical/Admin tasks - raising purchase orders, invoices and shipping documents
A knowledge of Microsoft Office and Access software would be an advantage.
The successful applicant would also be required to travel overseas to visit customers and suppliers.
A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred but not essential for candidates with relevant experience.
Training will be provided as required
