As Occupational Health Manager, you will own leadership of the occupational health operational team in delivering their advisory, supportive & assessing responsibilities. Including the delivery of statutory health surveillance in a timely and effective manner. Playing a key role in developing and executing the Health & Wellbeing strategy effectively across UK geography.
Please note: The role is home-based with travel as required to sites dotted around the UK from London to Carlisle. Travel is minimal and led by the demands of the business.
What will be your key deliverables?
* Leading the clinical and operational aspect of the Occupational Health service, setting clear vision, strategies, and targets and managing the in‑house team of 2 x Occupational Health Nurses, 5 x Specialist Occupational Health Advisors (2 of which are Clinical Leads) and 1 x Occupational Health administrator. Direct line management of the 5 OHAs.
* Monitoring and driving compliance with standards and OH metrics leading to opportunities for benchmarking and continuous improvement
* Being a key contributor and clinical leader in the event of a pandemic
* Developing the service to secure SEQOHS Accreditation
* Writing, reviewing, and updating OH policy and procedures
* Supporting the management of OH service providers, in particular our embedded physiotherapy partners.
* Ensuring health surveillance/assessment, triage, case management, OH deliverables are managed effectively
* Maintaining OH records in a secure and confidential manner
* Maintaining clinical skills within OH by participating in case management/health surveillance and other clinical service delivery, decided by business demand

* An OH leader and a registered nurse with a qualification in Occupational Health
* A confident, professional, influential, experienced OH lead with proven ability to effectively lead and manage OH teams, engaging positively with business key stakeholders & external partners
* Clinical governance, risk, and quality management experience
* Demonstrable communication and negotiating skills
* Experience supporting and advising senior leaders
* Proven resilience in an OH environment to deal with the demands of the role.
