About the role
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Finance, you’ll provide professional financial leadership across the Group, ensuring robust financial control, insightful analysis and full regulatory compliance in a complex and fast‑moving environment.
You’ll lead and inspire a high‑performing finance team, oversee statutory and management reporting, and act as a trusted business partner, translating financial data into clear insight that supports growth, investment and value for money.
From shaping budgets and forecasts to stress‑testing long‑term financial plans and supporting major development programmes, your influence will be felt across the organisation.
What you’ll be doing
* Delivering robust budgeting, forecasting and business planning across the Group
* Leading on the production of statutory accounts and external audit, ensuring full compliance (FRS102, Housing SORP, Charities SORP and regulatory standards)
* Providing high‑quality financial advice, modelling and scenario planning to support strategic and operational decision‑making
* Supporting development and investment programmes through financial appraisal, risk analysis and stress testing
* Driving continuous improvement across transactional finance, controls, systems and processes
* Producing insightful management accounts and performance analysis for senior leaders
* Maintaining and enhancing the Group’s 30‑Year Financial Plan to ensure long‑term viability
* Leading, coaching and developing a talented finance team to deliver excellent customer‑focused services
* Representing Corporate Finance in key transformation projects, including systems implementation, digitalisation and automation
About you
You’ll be a confident, credible and technically strong finance professional who enjoys working collaboratively and influencing at all levels.
You’ll bring:
* A recognised professional qualification (CCAB / CIMA) with ongoing CPD
* Proven experience in a finance management role within a complex organisation
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, develop and inspire teams
* Excellent technical knowledge of statutory accounts, audit and regulatory compliance
* A business‑partnering mindset, with a talent for turning complex data into meaningful insight
* Advanced Excel and strong finance systems experience
* Resilience, adaptability and the confidence to challenge constructively
