Job Description
The role involves performing various aspects of assembly and machine operation within a manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include:
1. Using computers to close out and reprint manufacturing orders.
2. Reading job manufacturing orders to determine belt specifications.
3. Calculating specification cards accurately.
4. Performing wire bend tests correctly and at designated times for each machine.
5. Reading and using calipers and tape measures for measurements.
6. Setting up machines, including adjusting controller length, payoff speed, cutter, benders, dump tray, and Z-center according to belt number.
7. Operating machines and monitoring for work piece defects or malfunctions.
8. Measuring wire dimensions to ensure machine accuracy.
9. Monitoring quality by checking twists, bow, curve, edges, length, number of spans, belt tightness, sponge, pitch, and parallelism.
10. Performing minor maintenance such as lubrication, cleaning, or replacing broken components.
11. Moving finished stacks to designated areas.
