Who You Are You are a qualified social worker with a Social Work England registration. You have post-qualifying experience in statutory social work, particularly in child protection. You possess excellent management and leadership skills, are confident and competent in making safeguarding decisions, and have experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment. You are empathetic, sensitive, diplomatic, and robust, capable of handling complaints and conflicts effectively. You are an influential negotiator with excellent communication skills and are unafraid to think creatively to solve problems. What the Job Involves You will support a multi-disciplined team of Social Workers and Family Practitioners in delivering assessment care planning and intervention to families under targeted early help, child in need, and child protection pathways. You will report directly to the Service Manager and be responsible for making day-to-day safeguarding decisions, HR actions, and other tasks as required. You are expected to attend the office at least twice weekly and maintain regular in-person contact with the team. You will work closely with partners, children, and families to make a difference in the lives of children and young people, ensuring their safety and inspiring them to achieve.
