About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Specialized Technician to join our team. This full-time position is ideal for a hands-on individual who thrives in the high-energy world of racing and autonomous vehicle technology. Your expertise will influence our performance on the track and the development of autonomous motorsports.
The role is based in Sint-Truiden, Belgium, with frequent international travel to support testing sessions and racing events. Flexibility in work hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, is required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Vehicle Management: Lead setup, maintenance, and track-side operations of autonomous race cars and high-performance electric vehicles.
* Mechanical Maintenance: Perform disassembly, inspection, optimization, and reassembly to ensure safety and peak performance.
Track Operations: Manage vehicle operations during live sessions, including pit stops, fueling, and setup adjustments.
Logistics: Oversee vehicle transport logistics across Europe and internationally, collaborating with the Technical Director.
Workshop Oversight: Maintain an organized and efficient workshop environment for vehicle prep and maintenance.
Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations, flag protocols, and emergency procedures.
Qualifications:
* Knowledge of high-performance vehicle systems, suspension, tires, and optimization.
* Understanding of electronic systems like steer-by-wire, brake-by-wire, and MoTeC systems.
* At least 3 years of experience in a professional racing environment.
* Diploma or certification in automotive or mechanical engineering.
* Interest in autonomous driving tech and innovation in racing.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
* Valid driver’s license.
