Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist – Community Team
Explore this exciting Band 6 role on the CPFT Speech and Language Therapy Team. The successful applicant will independently support patients with dysphagia and other communication and swallowing difficulties, providing high‑quality care across outpatient, domiciliary and community hospital settings.
Key responsibilities include:
* Work independently with patients with dysphagia and other communication impairments.
* Deliver speech and language therapy to patients on an outpatient and domiciliary basis and to community hospital wards.
* Provide clinical input for community hospital wards.
* Participate in the redesign of care pathways for patients with Parkinson’s disease.
* Opportunity to develop skills in voice therapy and, where suitable, deliver LSVT.
Other requirements:
* Qualified to work independently with patients with dysphagia.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle – public transport is not acceptable for this role; reliable transport is essential to meet service needs.
* Ability to travel independently throughout the county and meet strict time deadlines.
