SEN Teaching Assistant
* Hourly Pay: £14.00 - £16.00 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team in a SEN primary school in Northampton. This role is ideal for someone passionate about providing tailored educational support to children with special educational needs.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Assist in the delivery of tailored educational activities designed to engage and support SEN students.
* Work closely with the classroom teacher to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and ensure they are adapted to meet students' needs.
* Provide one-to-one support to students, helping them with academic tasks and personal development.
* Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
* Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and classroom setup to create an inclusive learning environment.
* Support students with their emotional and behavioural needs, promoting positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within an SEN setting.
* Understanding of the challenges faced by SEN students and strategies to support their educational and personal development.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with students, staff, and parents.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
* Relevant qualifications in education or special educational needs are advantageous.
