About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Architect to join our team. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Barking, with regular travel to sites. You'll be joining a team of six, in a small business that has a big impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and presenting design proposals to clients.
* Producing detailed drawings.
* Preparing tender and planning applications.
* Building relationships with contractors, clients and other industry professionals. This will include negotiating, attending regular meetings and co‑ordinating the work of contractors.
* Making site visits to check progress.
* Using problem‑solving skills to handle requirements and any issues that may arise during the build.
* Ensuring each project is on track to be completed within the agreed time frame.
About You
* We're looking for someone who has strong visual awareness, and attention for detail.
* Strong drawing skills, with the ability to work in 3D would be preferred.
* Innovative with a wide imagination, the ability to think outside the box.
* Strong IT, and Maths skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create and present presentations.
* A multitasker, with great time management skills, that can plan and organise projects.
* A problem solver, that thinks logical, analytical and creative.
* Someone that is always striving for better, and looking to develop their skills with their teams support.
* A passion for the industry.
Required Experience for the Role
* Revit
* Autocad
* Planning Applications
* Building Regulations
* Commercial and residential planning work
* Atleast 3 years experience as an Architect
* Fluent in written and spoken English
