Salary: Circa £40,000 per annum (Potential flexibility dependent on skills and qualifications).

The Opportunity
We are looking for a Payroll Manager to lead and continuously improve our payroll function across multiple entities. Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services for seven separate payrolls.
This is a pivotal role where you will bring strategic oversight, technical expertise, and a continuous improvement mindset to ensure our payroll operations are efficient, future-focused, and aligned with organisational goals. You will also play a key role in driving digital transformation and automation within the payroll function.

What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or Senior Payroll Team Leader managing complex, multi-entity payrolls.
In-depth knowledge of UK payroll legislation, tax codes, pension schemes, and salary sacrifice arrangements.
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with a methodical and analytical approach.
Proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Confidence using digital tools and systems, with a focus on identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.
Clear and confident communicator with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment.
CIPP qualification (or equivalent) or demonstrable experience in a senior payroll role.
