Pastoral Assistant – Secondary School in Chichester

We are currently seeking a full-time Pastoral Assistant to join their dedicated team, supporting the wellbeing and academic progress of students across the school.

The Role:
* Provide high-quality pastoral support to students, including emotional wellbeing, attendance, and behaviour.
* Work closely with Heads of Year, SLT and wider pastoral staff to identify and support students in need of intervention.
* Be a point of contact for students, parents/carers, and external agencies where appropriate.
* Monitor safeguarding concerns and liaise with the Designated Safeguarding Lead as necessary.
* Support the school's vision for creating a nurturing, inclusive and aspirational environment.
Ideal Candidate:
* A genuine passion for supporting the welfare of young people.
* Experience working with secondary-aged students, particularly in a pastoral, mentoring, youth work or education setting.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, patience, and resilience.
* Understanding of safeguarding procedures and responsibilities.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also using initiative when needed.
