Base pay range
Location: Arbroath. Hours: 40 hours. Shift Pattern: Wednesday to Sunday 12:30–22:00. Hourly Rate: £12.60.
Main responsibilities
* Provide visual deterrence, respond to incidents, complete incident reports, and collaborate with local authorities.
* Carry out guarding duties in-store, including patrolling, identifying vulnerabilities, and minimizing risk.
* Liaise with management and local authorities when applicable.
* Manage vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid distress.
* Conduct colleague and contractor searches as required in line with customer policy.
* Digitally report incidents and use tablets/phones for daily activity planning.
* Prepare detailed and legible incident reports to assist the Client and Local Authorities.
The Person
To be an effective Security Officer, you should be a confident communicator, able to provide detailed verbal and written accounts of criminal activity. You should be welcoming, patient with customers, and able to handle conflict professionally.
Required Experience and Qualifications
You must have a valid SIA licence to apply. Previous experience in a Retail Security role is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
