Your Role: Machinist
As a Machinist, you will play a crucial role in our operations by setting up and operating both computer numerically controlled and manual machines. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
* Read and interpret process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine machining requirements.
* Download programs from a DNC storage system and interpret work instructions.
* Select and install the right tooling for various operations.
* Calculate feeds and speeds for different materials, including steel and aluminum.
* Perform quality inspections and apply Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance productivity.
* Ensure the cleanliness and organization of your workspace.
* Actively participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and a background in machining.
* Experience with machine control systems such as Fanuc and Mazak.
* Proficiency in precision inspection equipment.
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a lean-manufacturing environment.
* A positive attitude and the ability to inspire and motivate your team.
Working Conditions:
This position requires the ability to work rotating Day/Back/Night shifts. We prioritize safety and quality in all our operations, and we expect our team members to adhere to company policies and procedures.
