Whether you're at our flagship property, the renowned Talbooth Restaurant, hosting large marquee events, or managing intimate gatherings in our beautiful restaurant rooms, you'll play a key role in our success. You could also be working at the stunning Hengrave Hall, where we're the exclusive catering partner for a variety of weddings, or heading out with our fleet to lead bespoke outdoor catering events across Essex and Suffolk.
This role offers the chance for growth, and if successful, a potential long-term opportunity within the broader Milsom Hotels and Restaurants group after the initial 6-month contract.

What You'll Do:
As our Events Manager, you'll lead the way in delivering exceptional experiences for our guests:
* Oversee the seamless execution of events from start to finish, ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction.
* Showcase your extensive product knowledge and provide expert advice to clients and guests, ensuring every detail is perfect.
* Collaborate with clients for menu tastings and event planning, guaranteeing the delivery of a flawless and tailored experience.
* Be flexible and creative, anticipating and accommodating special requests and unique occasions.
* Lead by example, fostering a positive team environment and ensuring continuous training to enhance team skills and performance.
* Work closely with the Catering Manager to consistently refine and improve our service offering.
What You'll Bring:
We're looking for someone who is:
* Passionate about the events industry, with a personality that shines through and enhances the team dynamic.
* Experienced in running high-end or luxury events, with a strong background in leading a team and delivering excellent service.
* Detail-oriented, ensuring every aspect of the event is executed flawlessly, with a focus on creating lasting memories for our guests.
* Skilled in both corporate and private event management, with a keen understanding of each client's specific needs.
* A natural communicator, with strong customer service skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
Salary and Contract Details:
* Salary: £26,000 Per Annum (£13,000) for 6 month contract
* Tips: Up to £5,000
* Contract Type: 6 Month Fixed-term (May to October)
* Work Schedule: 4-day week; must be available for evenings and weekends.
