Day Centre Officer
Location: Hockley, Birmingham
Salary: £27,254 - £33,699 (Grade 3)
Contract: Permanent, Full time, 36.5 hours per week
Internal Employees under S188: Priority consideration. External applicants are also encouraged.
Responsibilities
* Design and deliver personalised development programmes to promote independence, social skills and valued lifestyles for individuals with learning difficulties.
* Collaborate with service users, carers and partner agencies to shape inclusive, community‑based day services.
* Facilitate training, support high‑quality placements and foster innovative social enterprises.
* Lead change within the day service setting, ensuring person‑centred care and equality are central.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Evidence of experience working with people with learning difficulties is desirable.
* Acceptability of a DBS check.
* Proof of Right to work in the UK (UK Home Office requirements).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
