Rapid Personnel are working with a leading joinery company based in Reading, recruiting for a permanent Bench Joiner. This company is known for their expertise in superior and functional joinery interiors, offering a full service from consultation stage through to site installation.
Responsibilities
* Manufacture high-quality joinery items using technical drawings and project specifications.
* Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines.
* Adhere to all health and safety procedures and promote safe working practices within the workshop.
* Maintain a strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality throughout the build process.
* Collaborate with the design team by sharing practical feedback to improve buildability and design outcomes.
* Work closely with other joiners and workshop colleagues to solve problems and deliver projects successfully.
* Communicate with the wider teams to flag any material shortages or supply issues promptly.
Requirements
* Demonstrable experience working as a Bench Joiner within a similar role.
* Strong understanding of contemporary joinery methods and the ability to work confidently with a wide range of materials.
* Willingness and capability to learn and adapt to new and emerging materials used within the industry.
* Competent and safe user of both hand tools and powered woodworking machinery.
* Proven ability to manufacture high-quality bespoke, carcase-based furniture.
* Confident interpreting detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and complex assembly information.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality standards.
* Basic IT proficiency, with the ability to manage tasks and workloads using internal collaboration software (full training provided).
Hours & Pay
* Monday to Friday, no weekends
* 7:30 to 16:00 (some flexibility)
* £30,000 to £36,000 per annum DOE
* Based in Reading, RG2
* Development training provided
* Permanent vacancy
