NonStop Care is supporting a specialist educational setting in Twickenham with the recruitment of a Speech and Language Therapist Band5/6 to join their established therapy team.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity where therapy is embedded into the curriculum and wider school environment. The role focuses on practical, functional intervention work supporting children and young people with communication needs, autism, language disorders and associated learning needs.
You will work closely alongside Occupational Therapists, Therapy Assistants and education staff, jointly within an MDT environment.
Responsibilities of the Speech and Language Therapist Band 5/6:
* Managing a paediatric caseload across school settings
* Delivering 1:1 and functional communication interventions
* Supporting students with speech, language and communication needs
* Contributing to EHCP annual reviews and MDT reports
* Delivering training and strategies to education staff
* Working with families, therapists and the wider school team
Requirements for the Speech and Language Therapist:
* HCPC registration (or eligibility)
* Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
* Experience within paediatrics, SEN or educational settings
* Strong MDT working and communication skills
* Proactive and teamplayer approach
