The Role:
We are seeking a skilled Rail Assembly Engineer to operate and maintain CNC and manual machines to produce high-precision linear rail parts and components. As a key member of our production team based in Tewkesbury you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of parts, troubleshooting machinery issues, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate CNC and manual machines according to technical drawings and specifications
* Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
* Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure quality and efficiency
* Perform routine maintenance on machinery and tools
* Inspect parts for quality control, ensuring that all parts meet the required tolerances
* Troubleshoot and resolve any machine or tooling issues
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company safety standards
* Collaborate with engineers and production team members to optimise processes and improve workflow.
Key Skills / Qualifications
* Proven experience as a machinist with proficiency in CNC and manual machine operation
* Strong understanding of machine shop mathematics, blueprints, and measuring instruments
* Ability to use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
* Experience with various materials such as metals, plastics, and composites
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
