We are looking for an experienced, qualified and enthusiastic Project Manager to join our Transport and Mobility Solutions (TMS) team to deliver Highway projects for predominantly contractor clients across the UK. As part of the senior leadership team, you will focus on technical quality, safety, risk, change control, programme, resource allocation and commercial performance, reporting to the Project Director and working alongside a Design Manager.
You will manage Design‑and‑Build or contractor‑led projects from tendering and contract negotiation through to detailed design, construction site services and hand‑over, liaising closely with stakeholders, the client and multi‑disciplinary design teams. You will draft and manage tender documents, monitor cost and schedule, and oversee Health and Safety and Quality Assurance aspects of projects.

Health & Safety legislation awareness and application to highway design and construction is essential. You must be capable of delivering in a demanding design‑and‑build environment and resolving complex client‑related design or construction issues.

* Acting as the principal point of contact for the client’s Design and Engineering Manager and the client’s commercial and procurement teams for all commercial and contractual aspects.
* Understanding of the Designer’s obligations under the CDM Regulations.
* Willingness to travel to client sites or alternative offices as needed, possibly for extended periods.
