Casual Kicks Coach - Liverpool

Since 1988, Everton in the Community has become a dynamic force for good, harnessing the unifying power of football to drive social change and addressing societal challenges across Liverpool City Region. Supported by a team of over 130 full-time staff and over 200 volunteers, the independently governed and independently financed charity offers an extensive array of more than 60 programmes and initiatives that tackle a diverse range of social issues including health, employability, anti-social behaviour, crime, exploitation, education, dementia, and disability. 

Everton in the Community stands firmly beside the most at-risk and most in need members of its local communities, but the needs of the city are ever-growing and ever-evolving and the official charity of Everton Football Club is committed to helping as many people as possible.

About the opportunity:   

Everton in the Community are currently looking for Casual Kicks Coaches to join the team.

Our pool of Casual Kicks Coaches will be responsible in working alongside the Youth Inclusion programme and programme coordinators to plan, implement and deliver a programme of support across our Kicks and Youth zone sites, that is of the highest standard and meets the needs of our programme participants.

The role will focus on delivery across sport and football but will also include some youth and targeted support work to identified individuals and groups.

Safeguarding    

* To understand the Club’s Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practice guidelines.    
* To use this understanding to ensure safe working practices, appropriate reporting of concerns and contribute positively to an Anti-bullying environment.   

Who we are looking for: Essentially, we are looking for individuals who have proven experience in supporting young people within a sports environment to deliver workshops and targeted interventions.

Our successful post holders will hold a Level 2 FA Football Award qualification and; or a Level 2 Youth Work qualification and be first aid trained.

You will have the ability to gain the trust of young people in order to inspire and motivate them to make right choices.

This is a casual opportunity; it is therefore essential that if successful you have a flexible approach to working unsociable casual hours (evenings and weekends) as required.
