CNC Operator Milling - Day Shifts
We are recruiting for a CNC operator at a leading engineering company based in Central Birmingham. The role offers a career on day shifts with an innovative team providing engineering solutions across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate, load and monitor CNC milling machines and equipment
* Deburr and quality inspect parts
* Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure components meet specifications
* Use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometres and verniers to check and maintain quality standards
* Work with a range of materials
* Maintain high standards of accuracy, efficiency and safety at all times
* Collaborate with engineers and production staff to resolve technical or machining issues
* Perform basic machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organised
* Meet production lead times
Experience Required
* Proven experience as a CNC operator is a must
* Experience with milling machines in an engineering/manufacturing environment
* Strong ability to read, interpret and work from technical or engineering drawings
* Hands‑on experience operating CNC milling machines
* Skill in using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometres, verniers, etc.)
* Experience working with a variety of materials
* High attention to detail with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
What We Offer
* Temporary to permanent position working 39 hours a week
* Day shift hours 8:00–16:30 Monday–Thursday and 8:00–15:30 Friday
* Pay rate £13.00 per hour
