Job Description
The Senior Project Planner will work on high-profile defence construction projects in Catterick Garrison, providing performance reporting and analysis support.
This role may be part of a large team or serve as the key day-to-day contact point with the client. Key activities include:
1. Ensuring that schedule-related data from vendors, suppliers, engineering, and construction contractors is provided as feedback into planning and scheduling systems.
2. Maintaining the accuracy and completeness of schedules, exercising independence when advising on issues requiring judgment.
3. Balancing multiple projects across various locations and contractors.
4. Tracking and monitoring the project portfolio schedule.
5. Preparing the integrated planning/scheduling contributions for the Monthly Project Report and specific presentations.
6. Analyzing and highlighting the schedule impact of variances or change orders.
7. Developing resource plans for overall and individual project phases, identifying peak resource needs, and making recommendations for peak leveling.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a project planning environment within the construction industry is required.
* Degree education is preferred, with relevant sector experience essential.
* Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 is essential.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a rigorous approach to following processes and governance, and the ability to innovate are required.
