GSL Education are currently recruiting a dedicated KS1/KS2 Teaching Assistant to work in welcoming and inclusive primary schools in Barnsley. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the learning and development of young pupils and gain valuable experience within a supportive educational setting.
Role Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will assist class teachers in delivering engaging lessons, while offering additional support to pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Your role will involve both group and 1:1 support, ensuring every child can access the curriculum.
Responsibilities as a TA:
Support the teaching and learning of pupils in KS1 and KS2.
Assist in planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities.
Provide targeted intervention and 1:1 support where needed.
Promote positive behaviour, participation, and well-being.
Collaborate effectively with class teachers and the wider school staff.
Requirements for TA:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school.
Good understanding of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
A caring, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to learning support.
An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years (with no unexplained gaps).
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
