Job Role/Description
To support the Workshop Manager in successful delivery of maintenance of assets, inspections, prep for sales and repairs in a professional manner. Ensure that workshop and on-site activities are carried out safely.
Ensure that all work is delivered to the required HSEQ standards required and that the workshop team continually strive for continuous improvement.
You will work closely with Field Service Engineers, Service Admin and Parts team both at branch and head office level.
Responsibilities
* Repair, maintain, and service Forklift trucks, Material Handling Equipment.
* General upkeep of Hire fleet, Including PDIs.
* Work closely with the parts department to identify correct parts.
* Adhere to site Health & Safety requirements.
* Follow and maintain Bennie Equipment and The Bennie Group, companies, business, and team objectives.
* Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for effective performance of the role and attend training courses as required.
* Adhere to Group companies Quality and Compliance responsibilities, and policies and procedures.
* Adhere to Health & Safety responsibilities and procedures

* Previous experience of forklift / materials handling equipment engineering
* Diagnostic and problem-solving skills
* Analytical with an eye for detail
* Excellent communications skills
* Able to work to tight deadlines to turn work around.
* Flexible and willing to contribute by helping others
* Courteous, friendly, and tactful
* NVQ in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
* Experience in the materials handling and plant industry or similar
* Familiarity / good working knowledge of field service Software (ie working from a tablet / hand held device)
