Join to apply for the Banking Associate / Senior Associate role at Gateley. The role is based out of our Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester or Reading office and offers a hybrid working pattern.
Responsibilities
We are looking for candidates who seek experience of a broad and varied range of banking transactions including general banking transactions, acquisition finance, real estate finance, project finance and asset-based lending. The client base is predominantly UK based financial institutions, lenders and businesses, including cross-border work in Europe and the US. The Banking Team acts for private equity houses, management teams and debt funders across various debt structures. The successful candidate will be involved in the full range of banking & finance work and will contribute to business development activities.
The role suits a solicitor, associate or senior associate with previous banking team experience who is motivated to grow within a rapidly expanding team.
Qualifications
* Between 4-7 years post-qualification experience
* Qualified to practice law in England and Wales or equivalent
* Strong technical and negotiation skills
* Strong drafting experience including facility agreements, LMA agreements, credit agreements, etc.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a confident manner in engaging with clients and colleagues at all levels
* Strong teamwork, ability to work effectively under pressure
* Drive, commitment, self-motivation and a “can do” attitude
* Discretion and professionalism at all times
* Exceptional attention to detail
