Permanent freelance position with Language Empire Limited. Job Title: Face to Face Kurdish (Kurmanji) Interpreter – Dronfield and Surrounding Areas. Job Type: Freelance / Self-Employed. Industry: Interpreting & Translation Services.
Responsibilities
* Interpreting conversations for individuals accessing public services (e.g. legal, health, and local authority services).
* Ensuring clarity and understanding after each statement or question.
* Handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
* Acting as a liaison between service users and service providers.
Common Settings You May Work In
* Hospitals, clinics, and GP surgeries
* Social care and child welfare meetings
* Schools and other educational institutions
* Legal appointments and court sessions
* Housing offices and council departments
* Business and private sector engagements
What We’re Looking For
* Fluency in English and at least one other language
* Hold a DPSI, Community Interpreting qualification, or other interpreting-related qualification
* A valid DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
* Legal right to work in the UK
