Job Description:
We are seeking a Premises Officer to join our Facilities Management team in Camden. Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, you will be a vital part of a small team working within an educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Open and secure the buildings.
Respond to reactive job instructions and liaise with the helpdesk.
Set up and take down exam rooms.
Arrange room setups.
Accept and distribute deliveries.
Perform general day-to-day repairs and maintenance, including painting.
Oversee subcontractors.
Act as the main point of contact during fire evacuations or emergency procedures.
Carry out routine and ad hoc cleaning activities.
Perform any other duties reasonably expected within the general scope of the role.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience in a similar role.
First aid qualification is advantageous.
Ability to manage crisis situations, practical and reliable.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to liaise with other workers.
Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and instructions.
Ability to assess risks, complete risk assessment documentation, and escalate queries or concerns appropriately.
