The role
At Evri, transport safety and compliance sit at the heart of everything we do. Our Transport Development Team plays a vital role in raising standards, strengthening road safety, and shaping positive driver and management behaviours across the business.
We’re now looking for a Transport Development Auditor on a 6-month fixed term contract to join the team and act as a key compliance checkpoint across all Evri sites. This role offers a real opportunity to influence standards, support operational excellence and help shape the future of transport development across our Group.
What you'll be doing:
You’ll work closely with sites and leadership teams to assess, support and continuously improve transport compliance and performance. Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out routine transport audits across all Evri sites, including 28‑day, quarterly, bi‑annual and annual reviewsPreparing for audits remotely using company‑approved systems, followed by on‑site audits as requiredEnsuring Earned Recognition standards (Driver and Vehicle) are met prior to physical site visitsCollating audit findings and delivering clear, structured feedback to stakeholdersPresenting audit outcomes and recommendations to site teams and Area‑level leadershipCreating and maintaining audit records in line with DVSA and ISO standardsIdentifying training and development needs for site transport teamsSupporting succession planning by highlighting future talent for transport rolesEnsuring audits are delivered consistently, fairly and within agreed timeframesContributing to wider Transport Development initiatives and projectsKeeping up to date with legislative changes and industry best practice through continuous professional developmentWhat you'll bring to the role:
Excellent communication skills both written and verbalConfident in using Microsoft Office packagesProfessional Competency in Transport Management (CPC) with relevant experience is desirableExperience managing processes in a fast‑paced operational environmentStrong understanding of Operator License obligations is desirableProven experience in using TACHO master is desirableProven ability to analyse data, collate information and influence stakeholdersExperience creating efficient systems and ways of workingConfident creating and delivering content across a range of transport topicsAbility to influence through data and insight to all levels across the organisationExceptional attention to detail with strong cross‑referencing skillsExperience supporting and driving change management
