Job Title: Paint Sprayer / Warehouse Assistant
Join our dynamic team as a Paint Sprayer in Abingdon, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our geared motors are expertly painted and our warehouse operations run smoothly. Your primary focus will be on spray painting gearboxes and motors, while also providing essential logistical support in the warehouse and contributing to assembly work. This diverse role offers an exciting opportunity to blend craftsmanship with operational excellence.
Key Duties/Main Responsibilities:
1. Expertly apply high-quality spray paint finishes to gearboxes and motors, ensuring precision and attention to detail in every job.
2. Perform logistical tasks such as unloading shipments, organizing inventory, picking components, packing boxes/pallets, and loading shipments for dispatch to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
3. Maintain a tidy and organized warehouse environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored safely and efficiently.
4. Assist in running the perpetual inventory counting system to ensure stock levels are accurate and up-to-date.
5. Be prepared to cover standard cases/motor modifications as needed, demonstrating flexibility and team commitment.
6. Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Operations Manager or Directors, aligning with company goals.
7. Follow all company policies, with a focus on Fire and Health & Safety Regulations.
Personal Requirements:
* Meticulous attention to detail in all tasks, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
* Flexible approach to work, adapting to business needs and supporting colleagues.
Education / Experience:
* GCSE or equivalent in Maths & English.
* Previous experience in spray painting and warehouse operations is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided for the right candidate.
Performance Measures:
* Maintain high departmental standards with minimal returns or credits.
* Achieve high productivity and punctuality.
* Contribute to a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
* Ensure accuracy in inventory counting.
Remuneration & Benefits:
* GBP 14.50 to GBP 17 per hour
* 40-45 hours per week
* Monday to Friday
