Associate Director – Structural Engineering

A well established and growing structural engineering consultancy in South East London is looking to appoint an Associate Director to play a key role in the leadership and continued development of the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer / Associate Structural Engineer or a Principal Structural Engineer ready to step into a strategic position with genuine influence over projects, people, and future growth.
The Role
* Provide technical and commercial leadership across a diverse portfolio of UK-based projects
* Lead structural engineering commissions from concept through to construction
* Act as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors
* Support business development, fee proposals, and workload planning
* Mentor and develop engineers within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team
* Contribute to the technical direction and standards of the practice
Projects typically span residential, mixed-use, refurbishment, and bespoke engineering work, with involvement from early feasibility through delivery.
About You
* Chartered Structural Engineer (MIStructE / MICE or equivalent)
* Must have a strong UK consultancy background with experience leading projects
* Comfortable taking responsibility for technical delivery and client relationships
* Commercially aware with the confidence to contribute at leadership level
* A collaborative communicator who enjoys mentoring and developing others
* Must have worked in the UK for at least 6 years and have full right to work in UK
