What to expect?
Our Network Technician teams are responsible for Service Providers and field teams involved in the operation, maintenance, and repair of our sewerage network assets.
As part of this programme, you’ll be learning to:
* Carry out investigations for flooding, third‑party associated and customer service, ensuring they are completed to the highest standard and compliant with audit procedures.
* Assist the Network Manager with the safe & efficient operation of the sewerage network, ensuring all operational activities are undertaken in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner.
* Identify investment requirements to improve service and reduce costs.
* Effectively liaise with Highway Authorities regarding streetworks defects.
* Monitor and review telemetry alarms, carry out detailed investigations and make recommendations that reduce alarm activity and improve operational efficiencies.
As part of your development, there will be a mixture of practical and theory‑based learning. You will attend Bridgend College to complete an HNC in Civil Engineering, receiving role‑specific technical training in line with your academic studies. Expect to travel to and from the college for block weeks.
What do I need?
Working towards a driving licence if you haven’t already got one.
Requirement for A-level qualifications (or equivalent) for the HNC study element of this role.
