Job Overview
We are looking for a Therapy Assistant to work 7.5 hours a day across a 5‑day week to cover maternity leave in our Transfer to Assess Team. The post holder will support Physiotherapists/Occupational Therapists in providing treatment and rehabilitation interventions to patients.
Responsibilities
* Assist Physiotherapists/Occupational Therapists in delivering treatment programs to patients.
* Provide treatment and rehabilitation interventions as directed.
* Carry out clerical and administrative tasks, including computer work.
* Perform housekeeping duties within the team.
* Work effectively without direct supervision and take responsibility for delegated duties.
* Manage physically demanding aspects of the role.
Qualifications
* Good standard of general education including maths and English.
* Basic computer skills.
* Recent and relevant experience in a health care setting (essential).
* Excellent communication skills and awareness of patients' needs.
* Flexible, enthusiastic, and able to show initiative.
* Capability to work effectively without direct supervision.
* Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role.
