The Role:
M&G is enhancing its Internal Capital Model (ICM), creating opportunities within the Capital Valuation Team. This team handles development, modelling, and analysis of M&G’s capital requirements. The role requires a qualified or near-qualified actuary (or relevant experience with actuarial models) with Solvency II capital valuation experience.
This role offers the chance to develop expertise in:
* M&G’s Internal Capital Model (ICM) and its application for SII capital valuations.
* M&G’s non-profit annuity business, including liability models and asset modelling.
* M&G’s Matching Adjustment calculations, especially under stress scenarios.
* Collaborating with and learning from a team with strong capital valuation expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
* Understanding and explaining non-profit annuity capital results.
* Analyzing key drivers of non-profit annuity capital and their sensitivities.
* Monitoring changes in assets, such as sales, purchases, and credit ratings, and reflecting these in the capital model.
* Providing technical expertise for design solutions in change projects.
Candidate Requirements:
* Background in capital modelling, non-profit annuity business, or matching adjustment experience.
* Strong technical actuarial knowledge with attention to detail.
* Motivated, responsible, and proactive.
* Problem-solving skills and practical solution development.
* Commercial awareness and decision impact consideration.
* Strong collaboration and communication skills, especially on complex issues.
