Job responsibilities
As Senior Clinical Delivery Lead, you will hold accountability for clinical quality, governance, and service excellence across a complex, multi‑service portfolio within the IC footprint. This role blends hands‑on clinical practice with strategic clinical leadership, requiring close collaboration with operational leaders to ensure services deliver exceptional care, productivity, and patient outcomes. Here is a snapshot of what you’ll be doing:
* Provide strategic clinical leadership across commissioned services within the IC.
* Maintain a clinical caseload, utilising highly advanced clinical expertise.
* Monitor and review key performance indicators with a strong clinical quality focus.
* Lead on system‑wide clinical governance matters, including risk, safeguarding, and compliance.
* Lead, coach, and develop Clinical Delivery Leads and Clinical Supervisors.
* Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and clinical excellence.
* Support research culture, clinical education, and competency development.
* Build strong relationships with operational leaders, consultants, GPs, and IC stakeholders.
You’ll play a critical role in ensuring that clinical services remain safe, effective, and aligned with professional standards and organisational strategy.
About you
We’re looking for a highly motivated, strategic clinical leader who thrives in complex healthcare environments. You’ll be able to demonstrate:
* Advanced Clinical Practice experience.
* Strong background in clinical governance and pathway development.
* Experience influencing service quality, productivity, and clinical outcomes.
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to lead, inspire, and develop multidisciplinary clinical teams.
Essential:
* MSc level qualification (or equivalent).
* Working at Consultant‑level practice (or progressing toward Consultant practice).
* Proven experience in strategic clinical leadership.
Desirable:
* Non‑Medical Prescribing.
* PhD (or working toward).
* Broad cross‑sector healthcare experience.
* Experience in MSK, Pain, and Rheumatology service delivery.
