General Manager
Location: Towcester, Northamptonshire
Salary: Up to £56,000 per annum
BaxterStorey is looking for a General Manager to lead a high‑end hospitality operation with a team of around 40 staff across a main restaurant, retail outlets and hospitality areas.
Job Description
* Lead, inspire, collaborate and support direct reports to deliver consistently exceptional standards
* Build positive, credible and collaborative relationships and communication methods with clients and other key stakeholders in the business
* Continually develop your team through mentoring, training, recognition and empowerment
* Create a culture of excellence, continually pushing the boundaries of brilliance through caring service, food standards and innovation
* Achieve business‑critical KPI’s including Health and Safety, Sustainability, Financial and Governance
Qualifications
* Prior General Management experience in high‑volume contract catering and retail outlet operations
* Experience managing multi‑facilitated sites to include staff, retail restaurants and hospitality dining
* A contagious passion for food and customer service
* Enjoy managing, training and supporting a team
* Financially astute, analytical and able to create and maintain budgets and drive commercial performance
* Excellent delegation and influencing skills
* Ability to prioritise multiple projects in a fast‑paced, multi‑faced, creative environment and work well under pressure
* Meticulous organisational abilities; high attention to detail
* Concise and effective verbal and written communication
* Ability to adapt to challenges and opportunities with a solution‑oriented perspective
* Excellent strategic thinking and critical reasoning skills
