Overview
We are recruiting a Period Dignity Practitioner at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Location: Ty Penallta/ Schools. Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.
Team: Learning, Education and Inclusion
Contract Type: Part Time, Term Time Only, Fixed Term until 31st March 2026
Hours: 14 hours (7.24 Monday and Tuesday)
Salary: £11,126.44 - £12,008.73. A salary and access to training and development opportunities are provided.
This position offers an opportunity to provide support across the organization and coordinate the delivery of free period products and education in academic settings across Caerphilly LA.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate the delivery of free period products and education in academic settings across Caerphilly LA.
* Provide information and coordinate training to staff in educational settings ensuring the aims and objectives from the WG Period Dignity grant are met.
* Ensure schools, settings and communities across Caerphilly are supported to achieve measurable and meaningful health and well-being outcomes.
Qualifications
* A relevant Level 6 (Degree) qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example Education or Health.
* Familiarity with Welsh Government policies and local authority structures.
* Experience of working in a health-related field or in partnership with a health-related field.
* Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business/work purposes to travel throughout the borough to visit schools and attend meetings.
