Job Opportunity Accounts Assistant - Full Time - Seasonal Position (6 -8 Months) - possibility of extension, business dependant. The Travel Corporation is a family-owned business with a portfolio ranging from luxury hotels and boutique river cruises to independent holiday package companies and a variety of guided travel experiences. At the heart of every aspect of the business there is a commitment to establishing lasting relationships with our guests by exceeding their expectations. The Accounts department are a small but very dedicated team located at the head office in West London, the Accounts team are an essential aspect dealing directly with the Travel Directors ensuring their accounts are kept up to date and funds are available to help with the running of the guided travel experiences. While a small team we are always there to lend a helping hand not only to our Travel Directors but to other departments who all work closely together ensuring our guests have the smoothest experiences and the Travel Directors are there to focus on them. We are looking to recruit a temporary Accounts Assistant for a duration of a 6-8 month period. The successful candidate must be willing to work extra hours if needed during this busy period. Please note this role is admin entry level. Accountancy and Bookkeeping qualifications are not required. Key Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential. Fluent in English (both written and oral) essential. Excellent communication skills. Highly organised with the ability to adapt tasks at hand. Highly numerate with attention to detail. Able to focus and hit stated deadlines. Ability to work as a team in addition to working independently. Must work well under pressure as it is a fast-paced environment. Keeping track of, checking and processing expense document claims against the amounts provided by the company and the backup documents from the Travel Directors. A High attention to detail is needed while working in a fast-paced environment during the peak seasons ensuring deadlines are met and adhered to. Liaising with Travel Directors regarding their accounts via email, phone and in person. Dealing with various departments including departmental heads dealing with their invoice and expense queries. General Administrative duties as they apply.
