We welcome applications for a Regional Trainer within Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE), a specialist regional policing unit working with the UK Intelligence community to protect the public and national security from terrorism threats. The CTPSE training team operates under the Protect & Prepare work stream of the CONTEST strategy. This role is for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.
The Regional Trainer will plan, prepare, and deliver CT training aligned with College of Policing Standards, facilitating learning and development in accordance with CTPSE and national training policies.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a training environment, coaching or teaching groups, and the ability to work independently. Recent problem-solving experience and the ability to communicate effectively at a senior level are essential.
An approved training qualification, such as a Level 3 Award in Education & Training, is required. A good understanding of counter-terrorism practices is advantageous but not mandatory.
Flexibility regarding working hours is necessary, with occasional overnight stays. A full UK Driving Licence is essential.
Due to the sensitive nature of the work, candidates must pass and maintain security vetting at SC level, including additional security checks. Applicants must be British Nationals and have resided in the UK for the past five years, with some exemptions possible for overseas or diplomatic service. Travel restrictions may apply once in post.
More information about security vetting can be found here.
